What is SPIN SKILLZ™ ?
SPIN SKILLZ™ is a series of DJ classes taught by instructor and founder Olga Texidor (aka DJ Olga T) who has been professionally and successfully DJing for over 20 years in this primarily male-dominated profession. As a queer/trans identified woman of color self taught master of the craft, DJ Olga T specifically designs her teaching methods to empower those who have felt intimidated to learn the art form of DJing.
SPIN SKILLZ™ classes provide students with beginning to advanced one on one instruction that will encourage those interested in DJing to pursue and explore this very exciting and rewarding craft.
SPIN SKILLZ™ Workshops
DJ 101 Workshops are designed for those who have an interest in DJing but have not yet taken that first step or do not quite understand how to put music together to create smooth ear pleasing transitions. It’s also helpful for those who have begun DJing and may feel “stuck ” or unsure about various elements or technical aspects of DJing.
These classes are geared toward those who use vinyl, but CONTROLLER & CD DJs and will also benefit from the essential skills that are taught. This class will provide a solid foundation for any type of DJ. The skills you will learn are invaluable.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.* Once sessions are filled, future students should contact DJ Olga T to be placed on a waiting list for the next available DJ 101 Workshop.
DJ 101-A: Theory & Technique

Class location & important details will be included in your confirmation email.
All SPIN SKILLZ™ DJ 101 Wednesday Workshops require payment online prior to the first instruction session. You may purchase at any time for any workshop. If a specific Wednesday Workshop date is filled, students can request to be placed on a waiting list and the next student on the list will be first to be enrolled in the event of a cancellation.

Understand that DJing well requires countless hours of practice and dedication. Students are expected to be on time to each session. Your online confirmation email must be presented at the beginning of the DJ 101 Wednesday Workshop.
